If asked to describe the S95SB we'd say it is the S110B's slightly smaller brother. It shares the same exquisite cabinet work with semi-gloss veneer finish, the same high performance 8" driver, and a 75 watts RMS/120 watts peak power amplifier. Don't let the power fool you; when we tested the S95SB in our listening room we were very impressed with its accuracy and performance.
However, since the S95SB was originally designed for system applications there is one important difference from most conventional subwoofers: The S95SB does not have an internal crossover. If, as we suspect, you will use it with an AV receiver, surround processor or our Outlaw Model RR2150, that is not a problem, as internal bass management takes care of the crossover function. Of course, there is a level control and "on/off" for the auto sense circuit.
Even better, though there is no crossover, there is a line out jack along with the line-in so that you can easily daisy chain two or even three of these great little subs in your listening room. |
